Diffusing Essential oils should be a part if out daily lives. This has such a major impact on our health and well being. It is so important to me I even diffuse while I'm traveling cross country.
Among all my other must haves. Lol.
I find myself in a much better mood and if the camper is a little to claustrophobic this helps me relieve my anxiety.
Essential oils are excellent for keeping insects and pests away from the camper. I use peppermint on a cotton round in all my cabinets not only does it smell wonderful it keeps the ants out. I love lemongrass in the bathroom cabinet.
If you see any spaces from where your slide goes out I will put spearmint and/or peppermint on a cotton round and stuff into crack to block any entry. To keep mice out mix up in a glass spray bottle equal parts water and alcohol and 30 drops of either spearmint or peppermint mix well spray around camper on the outside repeat as necessary.
Here is a list of essential oils to have on hand:
Lavender
Citronella
Peppermint
Lemongrass
Cinnamon
Thyme
Rue
Basil
Flies and moths dislike lavender and peppermint will keep mosquitoes away.
Apply a drop on a paper towel rolled up and keep on window frame.
You can create hanging strips by cutting up an old tee shirt or towel place 1 drop of essential oil and hang in area where flies or mosquitoes are a nuisance.
With essential oils you can blend to your liking as well. You can also travel with a Rue plant and place it outside your door. :)
I always keep a travel kit of essential oils on me when I hike, you never know when you might need them. Here is what I pack
Lemongrass
Frankincense
Copaiba
Eucalyptus
Deep Blue
Melaleuca
Lavender
Ginger
All of these oils have many different uses from first aid to insect repellent to sore muscles, headaches, stomach ache, tooth pain, anxiety, restlessness and the list goes on for such a small selection it has many applications. I also carry a small bottle of coconut oil for the carrier oil.
