Dry Run to the Keys!

Well our dry run to the Florida Keys have helped us figure out what we need to take and what we can leave behind. Living in a 200 square foot space for 4 months is a challenge and fun at the same time. It definitely taught me how to be a minimalist and not to sweat the small stuff.

When you are in a site that has full hook ups etc. water, sewer, electric things are very easy. Right now we just have electricity and water so we will have to stop at the dump station on the way out. That’s another story! I don’t like it but it has to be done. Al does most of the work on that one….

When we reach our destination and set up camp that's when the fun begins. You must be able to work as a team to get things done, with two it goes a lot faster. Al takes care of the outside and I set up the inside. This trailer is a toy hauler so for us to get all the space we need we must first take out the motorcycle.

Then the setup begins. It will take us about 30- 45 minutes if all goes smooth.

Well that went well.

This is a clean park with nice level sites and the shower facilities are spotless! The only thing we didn't know is that there is a tone of sea grass that they will not remove from the beach so beach sand is at a minimum. The water is not that clear and only about ankle high, making it a great beach for the Kite surfers.

There was always a breeze and that kept the mosquitoes at bay and made it fun to play

We found Anne's beach that is a must see while you are in Islamorada. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne's_Beach

Key West is always a blast and some of my favorite places are:

No pictures this time LOL

When your on Eaton Street you must stop in the Whiskey room and hang out with Matt. Here is where you get Free Rum, Whiskey or Vodka !!!!! Or if you dare try the Death in the afternoon. We did and it was smooth and enjoyable.

And some of the best Key Lime pie I found was at https://www.sweetsavannahs.com/

I took a bite before the picture I couldn't wait ;}

One of my favorite things to do is grill so here is Shark steaks with Hawaiian slaw and rice.

Life is to short don't sweat the small stuff and there will never be the perfect time to start so just get out and explore!

Peace, Love & Explore
